601R Coating Grade Solid Epoxy Resin

The 601R Coating Grade Solid Epoxy Resin is a bisphenol A medium-molecular-weight solid resin specifically optimized to address the core weatherability challenges of outdoor coating applications, overcoming the yellowing, chalking, and gloss loss issues common to standard epoxy resins. It is the standout weatherability grade within the 601 Series.

The coating-specific stabilized formulation delivers a cured film gloss of ≥90°, excellent fullness, and superior color retention after prolonged outdoor exposure — no yellowing, no chalking, with UV aging resistance significantly exceeding standard 601 grades. The film demonstrates strong resistance to acids, alkalis, oils, and mechanical abrasion, making it well-suited for long-term outdoor and high-wear environments. The solid form is easily ground and disperses well with pigments and fillers, compatible with high-speed ball milling and triple-roll milling for energy-efficient coating production.

Unlike the 601R Electronic Grade — focused on high-purity insulation — this grade is depth-optimized for weathering stability and decorative film performance. Recommended curing agents: polyamides or modified amines, applicable across a broad cure temperature range.
