Epoxy adhesives typically achieve a shear strength of over 18 MPa on metals, ceramics, and most plastics, allowing them to replace welding or riveting in many applications.

They offer a wide service temperature range from -40°C to 120°C and resist oils, acids, and solvents, making them suitable for demanding applications such as automotive engine components. Low shrinkage ensures high positioning accuracy for optical instruments and electronic component bonding.

Thermally or electrically conductive fillers can be added to create thermal interface materials or electrically conductive adhesives for LED heat dissipation or electromagnetic shielding.

Typical products include two-part structural adhesives, surface-mount adhesives, underfill materials for chips, and anchoring adhesives.
